Terms and conditions
How we quote, what you pay and when, what the warranty covers, and what happens if something changes.
1. Who you are contracting with
- Spacioworks Interio Private Limited
- Registered office: Suite A-26, Block A, 2nd Floor, RR Towers, 3 Water Works Road, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai 600 032
- CIN: U74102TN2025PTC185918
- GSTIN: 33ABRCS7509M1ZN
- Email: care@spacioworks.in · Phone: +91 96000 11441
These terms govern your use of this website and the design and execution services we provide. Your signed quotation and any separate project agreement sit alongside them; where a signed document conflicts with this page, the signed document prevails.
2. Quotations
- A quotation is valid until the date stated on it. After that date, prices are subject to revision.
- Every quotation lists the scope it covers. Anything not listed is not included.
- Prices are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST is charged at the rate applicable on the invoice date.
- A quotation becomes binding when you accept and sign it through the link we send you, and the booking payment is received.
- Where a design fee is charged, it is stated separately on the quotation.
3. Changes to scope, and what they cost
Interior projects change. When they do, the cost changes with them, and we would rather say so plainly at the outset.
- Any change to the agreed scope — added work, changed materials or finishes, altered dimensions, or a design revision after sign-off — is quoted separately and confirmed in writing before it is carried out.
- Work uncovered only once site work begins, such as concealed damp, faulty existing wiring or an out-of-square wall, is treated as additional scope.
- If a material you selected becomes unavailable or is discontinued, we will propose an equivalent. Any price difference is shared with you before we proceed.
- We will not carry out chargeable additional work without your written approval.
4. Payment
- Design-only engagements are payable in full on acceptance of the quotation.
- Full-service projects are payable in stages, set out on your quotation. A booking advance confirms the project and starts design; the following instalments fall due before production and before handover.
- Each stage must be settled before the next stage begins. Work may pause on an overdue instalment, and any resulting delay is not a delay attributable to us.
- You receive a payment receipt for each instalment and a GST tax invoice as set out in your quotation.
- We accept bank transfer, UPI, cheque and card. Cash is not our preferred mode and is receipted in the same way.
5. Timelines
- Timelines given in a quotation or schedule are our honest estimate based on the scope agreed and a site that is ready for us.
- They are calculated in working days and exclude Sundays and public holidays.
- A timeline may extend where: approvals or selections from you are delayed; scope changes; the site is not handed over ready or access is restricted by your building; a material is delayed by its manufacturer; or a force majeure event occurs — including natural disaster, flood, civil disturbance, strike, epidemic or government restriction.
- Where a delay is on our side, we will tell you as soon as we know, with a revised date.
6. What we need from you
- Access to the site during agreed working hours, and any permission your building association requires.
- Electricity and water at the site for the duration of the work.
- Timely decisions on selections and approvals — most delays we see begin here.
- A site cleared of your belongings before work begins. We are not responsible for damage to items left in the work area.
7. Designs and drawings
- All concepts, drawings, layouts, 3D visualisations and specifications we produce remain our intellectual property until the engagement they were produced under is paid in full.
- On full payment, you receive a licence to use those designs for the property they were made for. Ownership of the underlying design work stays with us.
- Designs shared during a quotation or design stage may not be passed to another contractor, executed by anyone else, or reproduced commercially. This is the most common way a studio's work is taken without payment, and we do enforce it.
- We may photograph completed work for our portfolio and social media. Tell us in writing if you would prefer we did not, and we will not.
8. Warranty
- We warrant our workmanship for the period stated in your project agreement, from the date of handover.
- Branded components — hardware, appliances, fittings and similar — carry their manufacturer’s own warranty. We hand those documents to you at handover and will help you make a claim, but the warranty is the manufacturer’s, not ours.
- A warranty claim is made by writing to care@spacioworks.in or through the client portal. We will inspect before deciding.
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, or the fading of finishes and fabrics through use and sunlight.
- Natural variation in wood, stone and other natural materials — grain, veining and shade differ between pieces and between a sample and the finished article. This is a property of the material, not a defect.
- Damage from misuse, accident, negligence, or cleaning with unsuitable products.
- Damage from water ingress, seepage, damp or leakage originating in the building rather than our work.
- Work altered, repaired or added to by anyone other than us.
- Damage from pests, flooding, fire or other events outside our control.
- Items you supplied yourself, or work you asked us to carry out against our written recommendation.
9. Cancellation and refunds
- Before design begins: cancel within seven days of the booking payment and the advance is refunded in full, less any transaction charges.
- After design begins: the design fee, and the cost of design work already carried out, are non-refundable. The balance of your advance is refunded.
- After production begins: materials ordered, cut or manufactured to your specification cannot be refunded, as they cannot be resold. Costs already incurred are deducted and the balance refunded.
- After delivery to site: the project cannot be cancelled. Any defect is dealt with under the warranty above.
- Approved refunds are paid to the original payment source within 30 days.
- If we cancel for a reason that is our fault, we refund everything you have paid for work not delivered.
10. Website and client portal
- The content of this website — text, photographs, designs and layout — belongs to us. You may read and share it; you may not reproduce it commercially.
- The client portal is for the client named on the project. Keep your access to it to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has it.
- Project information shown in the portal is provided for your convenience. Where it conflicts with a signed document, the signed document governs.
- Images on this site show completed projects and representative work. Materials, finishes and dimensions vary by project; the specification for your project is the one on your quotation.
11. Careers
Applying for a role creates no offer or obligation on either side. Applications and CVs are handled as set out in our privacy policy.
12. Liability
- Our liability in connection with a project is limited to the total amount you have paid us under it.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — loss of rent, loss of profit, alternative accommodation or similar.
- Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
- Nothing here removes or reduces your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
13. Grievance redressal
If something has gone wrong, tell us first — most things are resolved in a phone call.
- Grievance Officer: Dilip Moorthy, Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer
- Email: care@spacioworks.in
- Phone: +91 96000 11441
- Post: Suite A-26, Block A, 2nd Floor, RR Towers, 3 Water Works Road, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai 600 032
We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receipt, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you may approach the National Consumer Helpline on 1915, or the consumer commission having jurisdiction.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights under consumer protection law to approach the consumer commission local to you, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
Before going to court, both sides agree to attempt resolution in good faith — through discussion first, and mediation if that fails.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The terms that apply to your project are those in force on the date you accepted your quotation, and changes made afterwards do not alter them.
Written to be read and understood rather than to be impressive. If any part of it is unclear, ask us — care@spacioworks.in — and we will explain it before you sign anything.
